Carlos Zamora

Renowned Cuban-American designer and illustrator, CARLOS ZAMORA is the Chief Creative Officer and Founder of CARTEL. 

Zamora’s award-winning illustrations have been published in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Scholastics, New York Observer, The Boston Globe, Advertising Age, American Lawyer, and The Wall Street Journal. Zamora earned his Bachelor of Arts from Havana Design Institute (ISDI), Cuba’s premier design school, in 2000.

CARTEL is the Cuban word for poster.

Our name is a tribute to poster art, a bridge to multicultural inclusiveness, and a wink to collaboration with an edge. Our best work honors the tradition of commercial illustration and propaganda. From poster design, we mastered the art of distilling ideas into its essence and multiplying their impact on an audience.

We believe in the synergy between images and words to align hearts and minds towards the purpose of a brand.
