Coastal Alaska Avalanche Center Ski Movies
The Coastal Alaska Avalanche Center and Gold Town Theater are partnering to bring Juneau an action-packed drive-in movie night with five short ski and snowboard films from Teton Gravity Research, Steep Motion Films, Eaglecrest Ski Area, and the community! Dont miss out! Devils Club Brewing Company will have beers for sale! Doors open at 5pm, movies at 6pm. Proceeds will benefit the avalanche center.

DRIVE-IN LOCATION: At the intersection of Egan & Willoughby, near the downtown Coast Guard station and Tracy’s Crab Shack, across the street from KTOO & the JAHC.

~You must be in a vehicle to enter the lot. There will be no entry on foot or on any sort of bicycle, including scooters, motorcycles, or other non-enclosed modes of transport. RV’s, campers, buses, and trailers are not allowed. If you leave once the movie starts, you will not be allowed back into the movie.
~You may not save spaces for yourself or anyone else prior to the lot opening, or take up more than one predesignated space.
~You’ll be directed to a parking spot by a staff member. Please don’t argue with us about parking spaces! We may be able to accommodate you if you want to park beside other friends’ cars, but no guarantees.
~Gates open 30 minutes before sunset. Parking is based on vehicle height,
~If you are late, you will most likely be stuck in the back of the parking lot.
~We are enforcing social distancing rules. We ask that you keep windows rolled down for air flow if you can, and wear cloth face masks if you’re in an enclosed car with people outside of your household.
~ If you have an open truck bed, you may tailgate, but you may not leave the vehicle.
~YOU MAY NOT SIT ON THE TOP OF YOUR VEHICLE.
~Your vehicle must have a working radio in order to hear the movie. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to bring something that picks up a radio signal.
~The only public bathroom on site are public-use porta-potties. Use the bathroom before you leave home.
~NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF VEHICLES.
OTHER STUFF NOT ALLOWED – If you’re seen with these, you’ll be asked to leave:
- Pets/Emotional Support Animals (expect service K-9s with papers)
- Laser pointers
- Firearms or other weapons
- Alcohol and Drugs
- Glass bottles
~You may also want: a flashlight, blankets, extra jacket, Rain-X, Fog-X or a squeegee for your windshield.
