Three years after the play Wrestling Jerusalem had a very successful run in Juneau the film of the same title will kick off the 2019 Juneau Jewish Film Festival presented by Gold Town Theater and Congregation Sukkat Shalom in collaboration with Juneau People for Peace & Justice. This is great opportunity for audiences to revisit their theater experience or watch for the first time.

Writer and actor Aaron Davidman conjures a host of different characters while seeking answers to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Creatively adapting his acclaimed one-man stage show Davidman takes a multidimensional journey into the heart of the Middle East, and the intersection of politics, identity and spiritual yearning.

Saturday’s screening will be followed by a discussion with Rabbi Jeff Dreifus and Saralyn Tabachnick¬†of Congregation Sukkat Shalom.

TICKET PRICES: $12 general admission / $10 Congregation Sukkat Shalom & Gold Town MGM members, senior, students, military
